Kettle’s Yard

Today, I went to Kettle’s Yard in Cambridge, it “is neither a gallery nor a museum. It is intended to be a place where people can feel at home and enjoy art in a relaxed atmosphere.” None of the paintings or sculptures are labelled, this is so that the viewer does not prejudge a piece, which i think is a very interesting concept. Jim Ede who set up the gallery with his wife Helen Ede said that you could furnish a room with light and air. Here are a couple of photos taken from around the gallery.

  1. I love the photo of the books at an angle. The room its self is very light and airy just like they said they wanted it to be. well done you have managed to capture it.
